River to the Nations

A river flows from the highest place.
It begins small —
ankle deep, then knee deep, then too wide to cross.
It does not choose where it goes. It simply flows.

And wherever it reaches,
things come alive.
Dead places grow green.
Bitter waters turn fresh.
Broken things are made whole.

This river carries healing.
It flows to every shore,
every people, every dry and thirsty land. You cannot stop a river
that comes from the Creator.
